Care Management

PCIP-WA provides a variety of care management services to enrollees including medical necessity reviews for all inpatient and select outpatient services, case management and disease management programs.

Medical Necessity Reviews provide you with a determination in advance about whether a particular service is considered medically necessary for coverage under your plan.

Case Management—Case managers work collaboratively with you and your providers to help you receive the right care at the right time in the right setting. They help you to understand your choices, navigate through the health care system, make the most of your benefits, and coordinate care on complex cases.

Disease Management—Disease management programs are specifically designed for PCIP-WA enrollees to support self-management, prevent complications, and connect you with community resources.
